11/19/2023 0 Comments Shady maple smorgasbord bugs![]() On Easter Sunday we went to a private inn in Pennsylvania and paid $340.00 to have a four course tasting for three. We ate at Todd English's Food Court a the Plaza Hotel two weeks ago and my wife and I paid $140. If you are expecting Emeril, Giada or Todd English you are not going to get it here, not at these prices. First of all this place is in farm country, with food cooked by hard working farmers in a farm style. I have read some of your reviews and find them comical to say the least. This is a place that does the area proud! Definitely a place to bring out-of-town guests and friends if they want to experience a fun time visiting Dutch country. Settled in the open farm area, the ride to Shady Maple from any direction is also enjoyable and pleasant. There is also a grocery store, and take out/dining area onf the lower level with fast service items if you aren't looking for a big meal while visiting. After enjoying a great dining experience, there is a shop downstairs that even the men in the family can enjoy. no matter how picky you might be there are PLENTY of options. It is a gastronomic wonderland!! So, DO NOT eat big before going here. There are separate stations for salads/soups/breads, pies/puddings/cakes, ice creams and accompaniments, coffee/teas(hot and cold)/sodas/water/milk (chocolate and white), vegetables/roasted carved meats/fried and baked seafood, and separate grill areas for steaks and specials. There is ample seating (booths and tables). (Discounts for seniors and little people). ![]() you pay up front for your "dining experience". Everything is well planned, consistently great, easily accessible and well planned. If you or family members are big eaters, picky eaters, vegetarians, able-bodied, wheel-chair bound, young, middle-aged, seniors.
